The classic double room was spacious and provided a comfortable stay, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring nearby attractions. Staff were incredibly friendly, even going the extra mile to keep our meal in the fridge when the kitchen closed early. The pub downstairs served delicious food, adding to the overall pleasant experience.

really friendly staff made us feel welcome and the room was huge with a massive bed which was amazin after more cramped places on this trip. the pub downstairs had lovely food and the manager was so nice, kept our ploughmans in the fridge for us since the kitchen closed early. its great there's a car park too, super helpful!
only minor complaint was the shower in our room which was hard to figure out and some parts of the room coulda used a good clean.

good stay but some room for improvement
The room was exceptionally clean, with fresh bedding and a tidy bathroom. The breakfast each morning was very satisfying, especially during the first few days of our stay.
The late Sunday lunch timing limited our options.

Just a fine choice for a brief weekend stay in Grittleton with good value considering price it charged. The landlord was lovely and friendly. If it's hot, make sure to ask about the heating before settling in.

The warm welcome from the staff and the delicious venison steak truly stood out during our stay. the numerous flies around the dining area detracted from the overall experience.

Characterful pub with friendly staff
I had a lovely time in this charming local pub, where the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff were incredibly friendly. The food, particularly the roast beef, was excellent on the first evening, but I was disappointed by the greasy breakfast on the second day. a good experience, but room service needs improvement.
